Summer Camp 2024

A number of Leaders visited the Huish Woods campsite to check out the facilities. The site is in good condition and we had a good look at all of the facilities.

We are currently planning the detailed activities for both the Scout and Cub camps. We will issue more information when this is complete.

Hog Roast 2023

Thanks to all those who attended our stormy hog roast event this year. Depsite the stormy and sometimes damp weather we raised over £500 for Group funds.

AGM

Many thanks for all the Parents and youngsters who came to the AGM on the 3rd February. It was great to see so many there and everybody enjoying the contributions of the sections as well as the hot dogs.

It was the last AGM of our long-standing Chairman John Elton. John has been supporting the Group for many years and it will be difficult to replace him.

Christmas Bazaar – November 2022

Our Chrsitmas Bazaar will be held on November 25th. Doors open at 6.30pm.

Lots of Christmas things to do. See Father Christmas visit Christmas Stalls. Tombola. Food – burger and chips, sausage and chips. This event is open to all.

Quiz Night – 22nd October 2022

Our next fundraising event is our ever popular quiz night. Specially selected questions for non quiz experts, and a few harder ones.

Fun for all the family with childrens games and music in the upstairs hall and the quiz downstairs.

Bar from 7.00pm, quiz starts about 7.30pm.

AGM

The Group AGM will be held on 14th June 2019 at 7.30pm. A short formal meeting will be followed by an informal get together and presentation of the members activities. Tea and coffee will be served. All are welcome.

Hamptworth Golf Club – Horse Race Night

We have been given the opportunity to raise some funds by running a horse race night at Hamptworth Golf Club in the New Forest. This will be held on 21st September 2019.

This event is open to all comers and we will need some help. So if you would like a fun night in the beautiful New Forest then come along. More details to follow.

The Minibus will be providing transport.

Hog Roast

Our annual hog roast event is planned for Saturday 27th July 2019.

Horse Race Night

We have a Horse Race night on 18th May. This is a fun evening with a number of races giving everybody a good chance to win some money. (No racing knowledge is required).
Doors open at 7.00pm with the first race about 7.15.
You can stay all evening or just pop in for one race.
We are always looking for local companies to sponsor the races. So if would like some publicity to a group of Eastleigh residents then please contact us via email.
 

Hog Roast

A great vote of thanks to all those who helped and came and spent their money at the hog roast on the 16th July.
It was a great day, blessed by great weather and only a few flying ants.
The event was supported by our local fire brigade and for a change a fantastic shownamns engine.
We raised a great amount that will help fund a good number of our scouting events througout the year.
