Headquarters

The Centenary Hall is a modern 2 storey building in Chamberlayne Road, Eastleigh. It was constructed in 2007 to replace the wooden “Scout Hut" that had been the home of the Group since the early 1960’s. The headquarters are used for a wide range of community uses in addition to being a Scout headquarters.

The building has two halls both of similar size with full disabled access (the upper hall is accessed via a disabled lift). Both halls have a kitchen and separate male, female and disabled toilets.

Both halls are fitted with speakers for connection to the audio/visual system.

Each hall has a range of tables and chairs, and the kitchens are fitted with plates, cups, saucers etc.

The headquarters is fitted with a WiFi system that is available for users.

The headquarters was completed in 2007 after a construction period of almost 2 years by Nolan Davis Limited. The construction of the headquarters was funded following many years of fundraising through a wide range of activities and was finally financed with the aid of grants from Eastleigh Borough Council, Hampshire County Council, and the Big Lottery Fund. Final outfit was supported by many local firms including Peter Green, Jewsons, and Howdens.

The address of the headquarters is:

44 Chamberlayne Road

Both halls are available to hire by members of the public. For full details see the headquarters hire page.
